Who are we?
More than 25 years of experience
We have over 25 years of experience in producing and supplying materials for your floors – or, more precisely “individual floors for all purposes”.
We are specialists in our field and contribute not only a wide range of quality materials, but also a wealth of knowledge that we use to advise our customers on the right solution for each and every project.
We are happy to put you in touch with flooring specialists who can help you transform our materials into a new floor.
What do we do?
Production
At Stonewalk A/S we colour quartz sand. In addition, we perform a wide range of additional services where we mix, sieve and bag different materials, such as quartz sand and minerals.
All quartz sand is coloured at our own factory in Ormslev – up to 25 tons per day! The material is sieved, both before and after colouring, to give you the best quality. Quartz sand and dye are mixed and then hardened. Now the product is ready to be mixed and packed in bags or big bags – depending on your needs.
For orders with mixing colours, the right quantity of the different colours is sent to our mixing machine. Next, the order is packed. Every production is unique – and there may be a slight changes in colour tones from time to time. That’s why we always produce a little extra – so we have it if you need just “a little bit more” for your project.
After each production, the machine is cleaned. All productions are subject to production control, where we check that our colouring matches our master.
Where are we from?
History
Stonewalk originates from Dansk Kvarts Industri A/S – a well-established family business from 1953, which is one of the largest international suppliers of quartz sand. FormerCEO and owner of Dansk Kvarts Industri A/S, Christian Hove Sørensen, bought Ormslev quartz factory in 1981, which later became Stonewalk. Today, the company is owned by the second generation, Claus Hove Sørensen, who has been at the forefront of Stonewalk’s strong growth and success.
Full access to its sister company’s own quartz sand production gives Stonewalk unparalleled flexibility. With Dansk Kvarts Industri A/S located in Brædstrup near Horsens, and Stonewalk in Ormslev near Aarhus, the company has the optimal logistics to ensure you the fastest possible delivery.
Besides Denmark, we also deliver to Germany, the Netherlands, England, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Iceland, Bulgaria, the Baltic States – and the list of customer destinations is still growing!
